In operation, your vehicle is subjected
to a g reat am ount of varying external
influences which, if gone unchecked,
can attack the paintw ork as well as the
underb ody and cause lasting damage.
Such dam age is caused not only
extrem e and varying clim a tic c o n d i­
tions, but also by air pollution, road
salt, tar, gravel and stone chipping.
Grease and oil, fuel, coolant, brake
fluid, bird d ro p pin g s, tree resins, etc.
should be im m ediately rem oved to
avoid paint dam age. Frequent w ash­
ing, however, reduces a n d /o r e lim i­
nates the aggressivity and potency of
the above adverse influences.
Special car-care m easures may be
necessary to deal with unfavorable
conditions; fo r exam ple, near the
coast, in in d ustria l areas (smoke,
exhaust em issions), or during w inter
operation.
You should check over your vehicle
from tim e to tim e fo r stone chipping
or other dam age. Any dam age should
be repaired as soon as possible.

thorough check is a washing of the
u nde rb o d y follow ed by a rustproofing
treatm ent.

control linkage bushings have to be
