9. Height confirmation of VTR shutter plate
(For DSR-1600/1800/2000 series VTRs)
(1) Turn off the power switch of the VTR.
(2) Set L cassette tape in the cassette compartment to dead-
end in the depth.
(3) Using thickness gauge, make a positioning of Y direction
of elevator assembly so that clearance becomes 1 mm be-
tween top surface of Z stage of elevator assembly and bot-
tom surface of the cassette tape.
(4) In the condition of step (3) above, adjust the height of the
VTR shutter plate so that the top of the elevator sensor is
aligned with the center of the V groove, then tighten the
fixing screw of the VTR shutter plate.
When in turn, the case is an old type of VTR shutter plate
without having V groove, let the top edge of VTR shutter
plate positioned to the point of 2 mm from top of the ele-
vator sensor where to be screw clamped.
( This means adjustment eventually same as described above case).
