Adjusting the speaker volume level
When the base speaker is in use, press ringer/vol
L
volume. Press ringer/vol
The numbers 1-10 appear on the base indicating the volume levels. 1 being the softest
and 10 being the loudest.

Using the menu mode

The Menu mode allows you to set the following Answering System functions.
• To scroll through the menu options, repeatedly press
CLOCK/MENU on the base in the standby mode.
The system returns to standby after the last menu
option. A confirmation tone sounds to indicate the
standby mode.
• If you press
, the operation is canceled.
• If the system remains idle for about 5 seconds after the
announcement, the system returns to standby.
Once
/SELECT or
time is extended to 10 seconds.
• If there is an incoming call, the operation is canceled.
• When you have completed the setting, press
the menu mode, or CLOCK/MENU to move to the next
menu option.
• You can also set these menus from the handset. See
"Answering System Setup" on page 27 for instructions.
For your convenience, voice prompts will guide you
through the menu setup mode.
