COPYING FROM THE BYPASS TRAY

Open the bypass tray.

Select the bypass tray (k or !)
with the [Paper] or the < >
keys.

Lift the paper hold lever.
Swing out the extender if
setting copy paper larger than
A4 K, 8½" × 11"K.

Slide the paper guides to match
the paper width. Insert the copy
paper until it stops.
If the guides are not flush with
the copy paper, a skew image
or paper jam might occur.
The image will be copied on the
side of paper that you place
face up.
Fan OHP transparencies or
translucent paper to get air
between them to avoid a multi-
sheet feed (multiple sheets fed
together at the same time).

Lower the paper hold lever.
If you have set copy paper
larger than A4 K, 8½" × 11"K,
support the trailing edge of
copy paper with your hard
when lowering the paper hold
lever.
