Printer Mechanism Disassembly

Pages 3-16 through 3-37 describe procedures for printer mechanism disassembly.

CR Motor Removal

1. Remove the upper housing (See page 3-4).
2. Remove the printer mechanism. (See page 3-10).
3. Disconnect the belt tension spring to loosen the timing belt.
4. Remove the timing belt from the pulley on the CR motor.
5. Release the joint for the CR motor and base frame by turning the motor counterclockwise in the order
shown by steps 1 to 3 in Figure 3-13. Then remove the CR motor by pulling it toward the bottom edge of
the base frame.

The CR motor fan and CR motor are 2 separate parts. Therefore, mount the CR motor fan with
the specified adhesive when replacing the CR motor. Leave between 0-2 mm at the end of the
CR motor shaft, as shown in Figure 3-14.
