5. Perform a ping test:
a. On the Windows task bar, select
(for Windows XP or Windows 2000) or
Windows 98 or Windows Me) and click OK to open a
Command window.
b. Type
ping 192.168.0.1
If the computer is properly connected to the remote
terminal, reply messages will appear on the screen as
shown in Figure 32, indicating that the ping test has
