Cabling the 5887 disk drive enclosure to an EDR1 PCIe storage enclosure that is
attached to an 8248-L4T, 8408-E8D, or 9109-RMD
Use this information as a guide for cabling your disk drive enclosure to your PCIe storage enclosure.
Figure 30 on page 26 shows one 8248-L4T, 8408-E8D, or 9109-RMD with two 5887 disk drive enclosures
connected to one EDR1 PCIe storage enclosure by using four SAS EX cables.
Note: The IBM i operating system does not support attaching more than one 5887 disk drive enclosure to
an EDR1 PCIe storage enclosure.
