Setting up the enclosure and installing a drive

You can install up to four full-high drives or six half-high drives in the enclosure; any
combination of drives up to a maximum of six can be installed (for example, you
can install two full-high drives and four half-high drives). Any combination of SCSI,
SAS, and SATA drives can be installed.
Notes:
1. You can use the SAS accessory kit to install either a SAS drive or a SATA drive
2. You can use the USB accessory kit to install either a USB drive or a SATA drive
3. You need an accessory kit for each tape drive that you install in the enclosure.
To set up the tape enclosure and install a drive, complete the following steps.
Note: You will need a flat-blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver during the
installation.

rack-mount enclosures" on page 9, and the safety documentation that comes
with your rack cabinet.

Loosen the six screws on the top of the enclosure; then, remove the cover
from the enclosure.
