The following components and functions are integrated within the 5888 or EDR1 PCIe storage enclosure:
v The enclosure RAID module (ERM) contains the RAID adapter function and the expander function.
v The storage enclosure uses internal wiring to connect components with multiple redundant paths,
eliminating the need for external SAS cables.
v A maximum of 30 1.5-inch solid-state drives (SSDs) may be installed in the storage enclosure.
