Installing the Battery
Note:
Position the battery in the tray with the terminal
posts opposite from the hydraulic tank.

Charging the Battery
Service Interval: Monthly—Check the battery charge.
WARNING
Charging the battery produces gasses that
can explode.
Never smoke near the battery and keep sparks
and flames away from battery.
Important:
Always keep the battery fully charged
(1.265 specific gravity). This is especially
important to prevent battery damage when the
temperature is below 0°C (32°F).

Make sure that the filler caps are installed in
battery. Charge battery for 10 to 15 minutes at
25 to 30 A or 30 minutes at 10 A.
2.
When the battery is fully charged, unplug
the charger from the electrical outlet, then
disconnect the charger leads from the battery
posts
(Figure
49).
3.
Install the battery in the machine and connect
the battery cables, refer to
(page
47).

Note:
Do not run the machine with the battery
disconnected, electrical damage may occur.

Servicing the Fuses

The electrical system is protected by fuses. It requires
no maintenance, however, if a fuse blows check
component/circuit for malfunction or short.
1.
Unlatch the engine hood and raise the engine
hood to gain access to the fuse block.
2.
To replace the fuses, pull out on the fuse to
remove it.
3.
Install a new fuse
