PP function
To this purpose the amplitude of the PP (Plug Present) voltage is evaluated. As soon as the
PP plug is no longer connected to the PP socket, the associated Open Collector output (DQ
P) becomes high-impedance; otherwise it is conductive.
Note
Since this trip function is executed to a great extent in the hardware, state transitions in the
charging process can be recognized and signaled very rapidly.
To observe the switch-off times required by the standard you can use the PP signal. Use
application means to ensure that after deactivation of the PP signal (DQ-P becomes high-
impedance) the power flow is interrupted within the switch-off times required by the standard
and that the charging cable is deenergized.
