PASO 61:
Interruptor de la Luz del Freno
NOTA
Efectúe el ajuste del interruptor de la luz del freno (1)
después de ajustar el juego del pedal del freno trasero.
Ajuste el interruptor a través de la tuerca de ajuste (2).
Gire la tuerca en la direción (A) para avanzar el punto
en que la luz del freno se encienda y en la direción (B)
para retardarlo.
NOTA
Para ajustar el interruptor de la luz del freno trasero,
gire solamente la tuerca de ajuste y no el cuerpo del
interruptor.
PASO 62:
Válvula de Combustible
Verifique el funcionamiento de la válvula de combustible
(1).
OFF
En la posición OFF, el combustible no fluye del tanque
hacia el carburador. Debese mantener la válvula en esta
posición siempre que la motocicleta no sea utilizada.
ON
En esta posición, el combustible fluye normalmente del
tanque hacia el carburador.
RES
Con la válvula en la posición RES, el combustible fluye
normalmente de la reserva del tanque hacia el carburador.
PASO 63:
Ajuste del Ralentí
NOTA
Verifique y ajuste el ralentí después que todos los
demás ítems de mantenimiento del motor tengan
sido ejecutados. Accione y caliente el motor hasta
obtener la temperatura normal de funcionamiento.
Coloque la transmisión en punto muerto y apoye la
motocicleta en el soporte central.
Acople un tacómetro al motor.
Para ajustar, gire el tornillo de aceleración (1) en el sentido
deseado para obtener la rotación del ralentí especificada.
Rotación del ralentí: 1.400 ± 100 rpm.
(A) Aumenta la rotación (B) Disminuye la rotación
PASO 64:
Ajuste de los Amortiguadores Traseros
Cada amortiguador trasero (1) posee cinco posiciones de
ajuste para diferentes condiciones de pista y conducción.
Para ajustar la tensión de los resortes de los
amortiguadores traseros, utilice una llave para tuerca
cilíndrica (2).
La posición 1 es recomendada para cargas leves y
utilización en rutas de superficie uniforme.
Las posiciones 2 a 5 aumentan progresivamente la
tensión del resorte, tornando la suspensión trasera más
dura, debiendo ser usadas cuando la motocicleta esté más
cargada o cuando fuera utilizada en rutas accidentadas.
Asegúrese de que los dos amortiguadores estén
ajustados en la misma posición.

STEP 61:
Brake Light Switch
NOTE
Adjust the brake light switch (1) after adjusting the rear
brake pedal play.
To adjust, turn the adjusting nut (2) in direction (A) to
advance the point where the brake light comes on. Turn it
in direction (B) to retard it.
NOTE
Turn the adjusting nut. Do not turn the brake light
switch body.
STEP 62:
Fuel Valve
Check the operation of the fuel valve (1).
OFF
In the OFF position, the fuel does not flow from the tank to
the carburetor. The valve should be kept in this position
when the motorcycle is not in use.
ON
In this position, the fuel flows to the carburetor.
RES
With the valve in this position, the fuel in the reserve flows
to the carburetor.
STEP 63:
Engine Idle Speed
NOTE
• Inspect and adjust the idle speed after all other engine
adjustments are within specifications.
• The engine must be warm for accurate inspection and
adjustment.
• Shift the transmission into neutral and support the
motorcycle on its center stand.
Connect a tachometer to the engine.
Turn the throttle stop screw (1) in the desired direction to
obtain the specified idle speed.
Idle speed: 1,400 ± 100 min

STEP 64:
Rear Shock Absorber Adjustment
Each rear shock absorber (1) has five adjusting positions for
different load and road conditions.
To adjust the shock absorber spring pre-load, use a pin
spanner (2).
Position 1 is recommended for light load and smooth road
surfaces.
Positions 2 to 5 progressively increase the spring pre-load,
making the suspension stiffer. These positions should be
used for heavy load and rough road surfaces.
Make sure both shock absorbers are adjusted in the same
position.
