5.2.6 Bi-D Adjustment

This section describes how to make I-D (I-directional) adjustment. This adjustment
must be made under the following conditions.
NOTE: The printer driver utility supports this adjustment, also.
1.
Printhead has been replaced/removed.
2.
Vertical lines are not aligned. (A print problem has occurred.)
3.
C456 Main board has been replaced.
4.
Carriage motor has been replaced.
1.
Setup the adjustment program. Main screen (Figure 5-3) appears.
(Refer to Section 5.2.1.)
2.
Select "Adjustment" and then "Bi-D".
3.
Main screen changes as below.

ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: The following four items are adjusted with the Bi-D adjustment.
1. Variable Sized Dot 1 (for 360<H> x 360<V> dpi printing)
2. Variable Sized Dot 2 (for 720<H> x 720<V> dpi or for 360<H> x
720<V> dpi printing)
3. Variable Sized Dot 2' (for 1440<H> x 720<V> dpi printing)
4. Variable Sized Dot 4 (for 360<H> x 180<V> dpi printing)
NOTE: Also, the Bi-D adjustment has 2 modes for both black and color
adjustment.

Select "Printing the Bi-D adjustment pattern", and press "O.K." button. Following
screen appears.

Use Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper for printing the Bi-D
P O I N T
adjustment pattern.
5.
Press OK button, then Printer starts printing Bi-D pattern with reflecting current
registered parameters.
