TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUTION! Turn off the engine and wait until the machine stops completely before investigating

Conventional trouble
Engine does not start
Engine starts then stops
immediatly.
The
auger
struggles to bore
When the engine is idling
the auger bit (2) rotates
If the problem cannot be remedied on the basis of the information above, please take the device to an authorized
IVT Service Center.
Trouble reason
Engine STOP/RUN switch (8) is in
the "OFF/STOP" position.
The machine ran out of fuel.
The fuel circuit has not been primed
sufficiently.
The spark plug is wet, faulty, fouled
or improperly gapped.
Dirty tank (5), or water in the tank
(5).
The fuel is not an oil-petrol mixture
or it is not the correct mixture ratio.
This may cause smoke and permanent
damage to the engine
The auger bit (2) is damaged or

Turn the STOP/RUN switch (8) in
the "ON/START" position.
Add fuel.
Prime the engine by pressing the
primer bulb (11) sufficiently.
Remove and inspect the spark
plug; dry and clean any dirt away
from around it; reinstall it or replace if
necessary.
Completely empty the tank (5),
make sure it is clean and refill.
Contact an authorised service
centre.
Replace the auger bit (2).
