feet, ankles, hands, and wrists. Wear suitable
protective working gloves!
- Limit the hours of operation. Take frequent work
breaks and during those breaks, perform arm
exercises and rest your hands.
- Try to maintain a straight wrist position. When
grasping, use your whole hand, not just the thumb
and index finger. Do not squeeze the handles
prolonged excessive pressure.
- Immediately stop using the machine and consult a
doctor if you feel tingling, numbness, or pain in the
fingers, hands, wrists, or arms.
Safety warnings for kickbacks
A kickback is a sudden reaction of the rotating auger
when it gets stuck that causes a sudden stop and in turn
forces the machine.In this case, the machine can break
and injure the operator.
A kickback is the result of improper use of the machine
or the use of incorrect operating procedures.
To avoid a kickback, take the following precautions:
Firmly grip the machine and place your body and
your arms in such a position so as to resist the force of
the kickback.
Never approach your legs to the rotating auger. The
auger can suddenly move and strike you.
Do not approach your body or your head to the
machine. A kickback may suddenly rotate the machine
and strike you.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assembling the handle (3) [F1]
1.
Unscrew the screws and the nuts at the end of both
handles (3).
2.
Move the handle (3) until the hole on the handle (3)
is aligned with the hole on the gear box cover.
3.
Fix and tighten the screws and nuts using the
wrench and the hex key.
Assembling the throttle trigger (7) [F2]
1.
Open the screw fixed with the throttle trigger (7).
2.
Take the screw across the hole on the handle (3).
3.
Use the screwdriver to tighten the screw and
secure the throttle trigger (7).
Assemble the auger bits (2) (NOT INCLUDED)
CAUTION! always ensure that the
machine is stopped before making
any adjustment or installing auger
bits (2).
Installing the earth auger bit [F3]
1.
Carefully place the power head (1) on a flat surface
with the muffler (6) side down.
2.
Align the hole at the end of the drive shaft of the
engine, with the auger mounting hole.
3.
Use the locking pin and insert it into the hole.
4.
Insert the split pin through the small hole of the
locking pin and bent it.
Installing the ice auger bit [F4]
1.
Carefully place power head (1) on a flat surface
with the muffler (6) side down.
2.
Align the hole at the end of the drive shaft of the
engine, with the auger mounting hole.
3.
Insert the screw into the hole.
4.
Use the hex key to tighten the screw.

GETTING STARTED

CAUTION! Each operation indicated below must be
carried out while the engine is off and the STOP/
RUN switch (8) is in the "STOP" position.
CAUTION! Always wear safety gloves and safety
goggles.
Preparing the mixture - 4% OIL (1:25)
NOTICE! 2-STROKE ENGINE! The engine works
exclusively with oil/petrol mixture in the percentage
indicated on the specifications list.
ATTENTION! Prepare the mixture in a suitable
container outdoor or in a well ventilated area.
WARNING! Do not mix the fuel directly
in the fuel tank (5)!
1.
In a suitable container, mix 1/4 or recommanded
2-strokes oil and 3/4 of recommended petrol. Only use
unleaded gasoline.
2.
It is advisable to prepare only the quantity of
mixture necessary to fill the tank (5).
3.
Screw the container cap on tight and shake the
mixture well before use.
