Regular servicing
8.2
Regular visual inspections
You should regularly conduct visual inspections of your vehicle to keep the
refrigeration system in a fully-functioning state. By doing this you can maintain the
full performance of the refrigeration system and detect early on functional faults
that could otherwise lead to expensive repairs.
I
NOTE
If you detect damage to the refrigeration system or its fittings, contact your ser-
vice partner.
Various points are listed below, which you can regularly check without great
effort:
Vehicle
A
NOTICE!
What may appear to be only minor damage to the vehicle caused by an acci-
dent can have considerable impact on the performance of the refrigeration sys-
tem.
The cargo space insulation plays a major role in the efficient functioning of the
refrigeration system. Even minor damage can cause the refrigerated items to not
be adequately cooled, especially at high ambient temperatures. The same
applies to exterior damage to the vehicle, such as that caused by minor acci-
dents.
Therefore you should conduct regular visual inspections of your vehicle. If you
detect damage, contact the manufacturer of the cargo space insulation.
➤ Regularly check:
– The proper functioning of the cargo space doors
– The door seals for damage
– The door locking function for damage
– The bodywork of the vehicle outside the cargo space for damage
Vehicle battery
A
NOTICE!
Have the charging status of the battery regularly checked by a qualified special-
ist workshop.
The electrical compressor is powered by the vehicle's battery. Therefore your
vehicle's battery must always be sufficiently charged to ensure the refrigeration
system functions properly.
