Local Connections

A local connection is a connection to a local area network (LAN). It is the simplest way to connect the apps to the instru-
ment. Typically, the network will be your office or home network, but you can also use the instrument to create a hot-
spot to which you can connect devices while you are out in the field.
Once the instrument and the device running the app are using the same network, they can communicate. You will use
Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth® and Ethernet in varying combinations to enable communication between devices.
✐ Note: The mobile app and PC app do not connect to one another, the apps only connect to the instrument.
