Holding calls

The following procedure explains how to hold calls on the D160 handset. For information on holding
and switching between multiple calls, see
Procedure
1. During talk mode, press the More.. > Hold soft keys to place the call on hold.
The base station switches the call to a held state while the handset display indicates the new
mode. The caller remains in talk mode, muted, and receives a hold alert tone or music,
depending on the IP Office configuration.
2. To remove the call from hold, press the More.. > Activ (Activate) soft keys.
3. To make a new call while holding a call, press the Off-Hook key and dial the number.
Pressing the Off-Hook key in this situation does not remove any other call from a held state.
The handset acts as though you are making a regular call.

Handling multiple calls

You can operate multiple calls using the D160 handset. The handset display shows the call
information in the order that the calls were received. The call line indicates the information about
each call, such as Hold or From. The soft key menu at the bottom of the handset display selects and
manages these calls.
Press the More.. soft key to view all the options when handling calls.

When switching between calls, be aware of the calls you want to hold and the calls you are
prepared to dismiss.
Procedure
1. To switch between calls, press the Calls soft key.
The call list will appear on the handset display with appropriate soft keys for each call.
2. Navigate the call list using the Next and Prev soft keys.
