12.7.2 Planning aid for distributing the module bus cards

Fire Safety
If this is the case, two carriers (19", power supply) FHA2022-A1 and two battery
blocks are to be mounted. Both power supply carriers can be expanded to include
one additional 150 W power supply each. To guarantee ground fault monitoring in
all card cages, the negative 24 V connection must be inserted between the two
carriers (19", power supply).
Because of the space that is sacrificed as a result, this could lead to a situation
where not all of the components can still fit in the same housing.
To get round these complications, the calculation of the operating current for the
hardware is subdivided into several zones in the next chapter. This enables a
distribution of the power supply from the beginning. It may be helpful to use the
↑ outline quantities tool to calculate the power supply in this case.
The following section contains useful information for distributing the required
module bus cards among the individual card cages. The graphic shows the
numbering for the card cages and how they are distributed on the relevant module
bus. The individual slots in the card cages correspond to the address. To help you
plan, use the table below to enter the address at which each individual module bus
card is located.
A maximum of 4 card cages may be connected per module bus.
Addresses are assigned according to the order of the card cages on module bus 1
and module bus 2:
Card cage on module bus 1
Card cage 1 receives addresses 111...115
Card cage 2 receives addresses 121...125
Card cage 3 receives addresses 131...135
Card cage 4 receives addresses 141...145
Card cage on module bus 2
Card cage 5 receives addresses 151...155
Card cage 6 receives addresses 161...165
Card cage 7 receives addresses 171...175
Due to the power dissipation of the supply lines, the module bus cards must be
allocated in such a way that the power can be distributed as evenly as possible
and the maximum load per card cage is not exceeded.
