DDNAME,
SYSNAME, or
UNITADDRESS
PRI
SEC
MODE
PACE
CRIT
MSGREQ
LSS
ONLINSEC*
* Not specifying and specifying NO for this parameter has the same effect.
96
Business Copy Z pair user tasks using IBM PPRC and ICKDSF
Value
DDNAME = dname = JCL statement identifying
the volume.
SYSNAME = sysxxx = SYSNAME in the ASSGN
system control statement.
UNITADDRESS = ccuu = device number.
Primary volume: SSID, serial number, channel
connection address.
You can set an additional parameter
corresponding to each request instead of a serial
number. If you do not set an additional
parameter, the request triggers a normal copy.
For a Quick Resync, set MRF00. This parameter
is valid for MODE(RESYNC) only.
For a Quick Restore, set MRQ00. This parameter
is valid for MODE(RESYNC) only.
For a Reverse Copy set MRR00. This parameter
is valid for MODE(RESYNC) only.
To resync all pairs in a CG, set MAnn0 instead
of a serial number. The request triggers a Normal
Resync.
Note: nn is a CTG ID.
Secondary volume: SSID, serial number, channel
connection address.
RESYNC
1-255
Not applicable
YES
NO
P-VOL or S-VOL CU number.
YES
NO
Description
Only one of the three parameters can be
specified. The italic term is the arbitrary name.
For example, dname is the arbitrary unique
name of the JCL statement which identifies the
volume.
You must use these parameters to successfully
run the command.
Caution: To prevent the job from ending
abnormally (reporting CC = 12), if you need
to reverse resynchronize, specify YES for the
ONLINSEC parameter.
Note: The copy operation is performed whether
the volume is online or not.
NA
Re-establish a split or suspended pair.
Copy speed is medium, regardless what is
specified for the PACE parameter.
Not used by BC Z.
To prevent the command from ending
abnormally (reporting CC = 12), do not specify
the parameter if MODE(RESYNC) is set.
NA
You can Normal Copy when the S-VOL is
online or offline.
You can reverse resynchronize the pair when
the P-VOL and S-VOL are online or offline.
You can Normal Copy when the S-VOL is
online.
You can reverse resynchronize the pair when
the P-VOL and S-VOL are online. The ICKDSF
job ends abnormally (reporting CC = 12).
Note: Although an error does not occur if you
specify YES for this parameter, the copy
operation is performed. The storage system
does not check to see if the volume is online.
