Abstract
This appendix includes IBM PPRC requirements, commands, and examples. You can perform BC
Z pair user tasks using TSO PPRC and ICKDSF PPRCOPY commands.
Note: This appendix does not include all instructions for using the TSO and ICKDSF commands.
For more information about these commands and using PPRC and ICKDSF, see the IBM user
documentation.

Supported PPRC and PPRCOPY commands

You can use PPRC and PPRCOPY commands to complete the following BC Z pair user tasks:
Add pairs.
Add and split pairs.
Split the pairs.
Resynchronize pairs.
Delete pairs.
Show pair status and other information.
The following table shows the TSO PPRC and ICKDSF PPRCOPY commands that BC Z supports.

Description
Creates a pair, starts the initial copy operation, and
changes the status to "DUPLEX".
Adds and simultaneously splits a pair.
Splits a pair, and then starts a Quick Split.
Splits a pair, and then starts a Steady Split.
Resynchronizes a pair, and then starts a Normal Copy.
Resynchronizes a pair, and then starts a Quick Resync.
Resynchronizes a pair, and then starts a Reverse Copy.
Resynchronizes the pair and starts Quick Restore.
Deletes the pair and the volumes are unpaired.
Shows detailed pair status information.
