4. Click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click Register Now. A message
confirms that the registration message was sent.
If you are in an area of wireless coverage sufficient for receiving email messages,
the registration message should arrive within a few seconds.

Your handheld must be activated on the network before you can register and
before you can use any of the handheld's functions. If you are in an area of
sufficient wireless coverage and the Active Network field of the Network
screen is set to Emergency Service Only, scan for a network. If no
networks are found, contact your service provider to ensure your handheld
has been activated properly.
You may need to register your handheld after loading new applications using
the desktop software's Application Loader tool. Refer to "Loading handheld
applications" on page 71 or the Application Loader Online Help for more
information on loading applications.
During the installation process, you will be prompted to remove any existing
versions of the desktop software from your computer before installing
version 3.1. If you choose to remove any existing versions of the software
before you are prompted, some settings in your desktop software will not be
saved.
