Using your handheld's functions

This chapter provides basic information on and procedures for using the
handheld's functions. You will learn how to send and receive email and SMS
messages, how to place and answer phone calls, how to add Address Book entries,
appointments, memos, and tasks, and how to use the Calculator and the Browser.
Note
This chapter outlines only the basic features for each function. For more
information, including information on setting options and complete
instructions on using the function, refer to the Handheld User Guide. To view
the guide, in the desktop software, on the Help menu, click Handheld User's
Guide.
Depending on your service provider's plan, some functions may not be
available on your handheld. Contact your service provider or network
operator for more information on available services.

Adding addresses

To create a database of your contacts, you can add new addresses to your handheld
manually or you can import them from your desktop email program.
Integration with
enterprise email
account
To add addresses manually
1.
On the Home screen, click the Address Book icon. The Find screen appears.
2.
Click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click New Address.
3.
Type your contact's information and press
If you have integrated your desktop software with an enterprise email
account, you can import your Address Book entries from your desktop.
