Getting started — Installing the desktop software
In the BlackBerry Internet Settings page, the Forward the message
to my handheld check box is selected by default. You can clear the
check box if you want messages to be suspended at your desktop.
At any time you can select the check box; message delivery will
resume after a short delay.
For details on how to edit, enable/disable, re-order filters, and use
the other features of these web pages, refer to the URL provided by
your Service Provider and click the Help option at the bottom of any
page.

Installing the desktop software

You must install the desktop software in order to send and receive
email and use the other desktop doftware tools.
1.
Insert the CD into the appropriate drive. The Setup program
starts automatically. Follow the instructions on your screen,
using the default paths and names recommended for the
desktop software.
2.
When Setup is complete, you may choose to open the
README.txt file and run the desktop software right away.
Connecting the handheld to your PC.
To confirm the handheld to PC connection
1.
Ensure that the end of the cradle cable is properly inserted into
a COM port on the back of your PC and that the handheld is
placed securely in the cradle.
Note
Installation and Getting Started Guide
If the password function on your handheld is enabled, you
must enter the password before you can connect to your
PC.
