Removing And Installing Throttle Housing - BMW 745i Repair Instructions

1354030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING
THROTTLE HOUSING
Loosen hose clamp.
Push back charge air pipe.
Pull off multiple-pin plug (1).
Pull off vacuum hose
(2)
to "retarded" vacuum box
on distributor.
Pull off vacuum hose (3) to "advanced" vacuum box
on distributor.
IMPORTANT! Mount hose
(3)
with a hose clamp
and check for correct fit.
Disconnect cables.
NOTE: Push out nipple and disconnect cable at
side of operating lever.
ADJUSTING:
a) Accelerator Cable:
Throttle lever against stop.
Screw in knurled nut on cable until there is
only a minimal play.
b) Cable for Automatic Transmission:
In neutral position adjust play "S" to 0.25 ...
0.75 mm (0.010 ... 0.030").
