IMPORTANT! Insert turbocharger mounting
bolt prior to installation of bypass valve.
Detach ventilating pipe.
Unscrew nuts.
Remove exhaust manifold.
INSTALLATION: Give threads of staybolts a
thin coat of copper paste, HWB No. 8122 9400
794.
Tighten nuts to 25 ... 28 Nm (18 to 20 ft. Ibs.).
IMPORTANT! After driving car 1,000 km (600
miles) exhaust manifold bolts must be tightened
with 15 Nm (11 ft. Ibs.) torque (see important
information for inspections)!
IMPORTANT! Gas·filled metal O·rings are used
for sealing. Seals must only be replaced when da-
maged.
Check seals, replacing if necessary.
