Disconnect right engine mount.
Disconnect left engine mount.
Important information for Job No. 11 12 100 -
Removing and Installing Cylinder Head:
Tighten cylinder head bolts in 3
steps.
1st step: 34 ... 44 Nm (25 ... 32 ft. Ibs.)
2nd step: 67 ... 71 Nm (49 ... 51 ft. Ibs.)
3rd step: 75 ... 81 NM (53 ... 58 ft. Ibs.)
After installation, run engine until it reaches oper·
ating temperature (oil temperature at least 60
0
C
I
140'> F). After warming up, tighten cylinder head
bolts with Special Tools 11 2 110, 11 2 116, 11 2
117 and 11 2 118. Torque angle: 25
±
50 (regard·
less of engine temperature).
Cylinder head bolts do not have to
be
tightened
again after 1,000 km (600 miles) and 7,500 km
(5,000 miles).
