The type, condition and air pressure of the tires all have an important impact on the riding behavior of the vehicle.
The front and rear wheels must be fitted with tires with similar profiles.
Worn tires have a negative effect on riding behavior, especially on wet surfaces.
Examine the tires for cuts, foreign bodies and other damage.
Check the tire age.
Info
The tire's date of manufacture is usually part of the tire markings and is indicated by the last four digits of the DOT marking.
The first two digits indicate the week of manufacture and the last two digits the year of manufacture.
KTM recommends that the tires be changed after 5 years at the latest, regardless of the actual state of wear.
»
If the tires are older than five years:
Change the tires.
