The paper size setting is incorrect. Change the paper
size setting as explained on page 18.
The print compartment cover (under the operation panel)
is open. Open the operation panel (grasp the top and
pull toward you), and then press down firmly on both
sides of the print compartment cover to close it.
The original document is jammed. See the following
section, Clearing Paper Jams.
A fax has been received in memory because the imaging
film needs replacement, you have run out of printing
paper, or the paper is jammed. The fax will print out
automatically when the problem is fixed.
The imaging film may need replacement. Check the film
and replace if necessary.
The FUNCTION key has been pressed.
The HOLD/SEARCH key has been pressed to put the
other party on hold during a phone conversation. Press
the HOLD/SEARCH again to take the other party off
hold.
The fax machine has called OpenLCR and is receiving
carrier rate data. This message only appears if you have
registered with OpenLCR.
The fax machine was unable to download rate data from
OpenLCR. Try downloading the data manually as
explained in Downloading (receiving) the rate data
manually on page 29.
Transmission or reception was not successful. Press the
STOP key to clear the message and then try again. If the
error persists, see Line Error on page 95.
