6.6 Defining an Arbitrary Header and Terminator
In addition to header and terminator characters given on pages 23 and
24, you may define an arbitrary header and terminator in a maximum
of 4-character length from the ASCII character set (00h to 7Fh) and
some control codes keyed in.
Operating Procedure
(1) First, scan the "Start" bar code of the user-defined header (or
terminator) given on the next page.
(2) According to the header/terminator definition table given on pages
31 and 32, learn the hexadecimal value of a character you want to
use.
(3) Enter the hexadecimal value in the order of the upper and lower
digits by using the "Bar-coded values for hexadecimal entry"
given on page 32.
(4) Scan the "End" bar code of the user-defined header (or terminator)
given on the next page.
(5) To make the header (or terminator) defined above go into effect,
scan the "User-defined" of the terminator given on page 23 (or
page 24).
(Example) Defining the string "+Z" (2B, 5A in hex.) as a header
