Admin | FAST
The CDD-880 has a number of optional features that you may activate after you purchase their
unique authorization codes from Comtech EF Data Product Support. Use this page to enter
these Fully Accessible System Topology (FAST) Access Codes. The example here shows the page
appearance with the CDD-880 equipped with five dual demodulator cards.
See Chapter 5. FAST ACTIVATION PROCEDURE for the complete information on
activating your FAST Features via the CDD-880 HTTP Interface.
1) Header and Payload Compression are standard (non-FAST) operational features
for Comtech EF Data's Advanced VSAT Series group of products. If these features
are listed in the FAST Configuration table, they are always indicated as Enabled.
2) Precision Time Protocol (PTP) is not available in this firmware release. Once
operable, this protocol will be used to synchronize clocks throughout a computer
network. When the hardware required for this option is not installed in the
CDD-880, this page displays the message "Disabled (No Hdware").
