5 Set the remaining three items for upper thread tension in the same was as in steps 3 and 4.
・ You can change the value for an item by touching the setting value for the item you would like to change.

Use a tension gauge to measure the upper thread tension as shown in
the illustration at left.
Press the or
appearing in the menu display until it corresponds with the
measurement value.
For example, if the upper thread tension is 28 gf
* Round off any decimal places in the measurement value.
* The units for the measurement values which are input to the
operation panel are "gf". If the values are measured using units of
"N", convert using a factor of 1 N ≒ 100 gf.
* The value will illuminate, and it will change to flashing if it is
increased or decreased.
1. Touch the OK key
2. The selected value will be set as the correction value.
・ The setting value will stop flashing and will illuminate.
NOTE:
If you need to set the range to a value which is higher than the value in
the "Allowable setting range" column of the table, problems with
operation of the digital tension may occur.
Carry out the steps in "9-14. Adjusting the tension release amount
(KE-430HX, BE-438HX)", and then repeat the procedure from item 1.
You can return to the adjustment menu by pressing the back key
