Fault Expected causes of the fault
(1) Wiring to the external indicator output
and 24 V, 0 V, or another I/O terminal
short circuited.
(2) External indicator output disconnected.
(external indicator not connected)
(3) External indicator failed.
(4) Wiring for external indicator diagnosis
switching input and 24 V disconnected.
(when external indicator was not
connected)
(5) Failure in internal circuit for UB.
(6) Failure in internal circuit for Y4.
(1) Incorrect setting of the Switching
Function setting switch or incorrect
wiring to the mode selector input.
(2) Wiring to the mode selector input and
24 V, 0 V, or another I/O terminal short
circuited.
(3) Incorrect mode selector input switching
time.
(4) Mode selector failed.
(5) Internal circuit of the mode selector
input failed.
(1) Supply voltage outside the rated value.
(2) Voltage fluctuation caused by
insufficient supply voltage current
capacity.
Fault Expected causes of the fault
The input status between safety input A
channel 1 and safety input A channel 2 is
different due to contact failure or a short
circuit of safety input device or a wiring
fault.
The input status between safety input B
channel 1 and safety input B channel 2 is
different due to contact failure or a short
circuit of safety input device or a wiring
fault.
Fault Expected causes of the fault
Internal safety relay contact is welded.
Internal circuit failed.
Check points and measures to take
(1) Check the wiring to UB.
(2) Check the wiring to UB.
(3) Replace the external indicator.
(4) Check the wiring to Y4.
(5) Replace the G9SX.
(6) Replace the G9SX.
(1) Check the wiring to the M1 and M2, and
the setting of the Switching Function
setting switch.
(2) Check the wiring to M1 and M2.
(3) Check the mode selector input
switching time.
(4) Replace mode switch.
(5) Replace the G9SX.
(1) Connect to a supply voltage of 24 VDC
-15% to +10%.
(2) Change to a power supply with a
greater current capacity.
Check points and measures to take
Check the wiring from safety input devices
to the G9SX-GS@. Or check the input
sequence of safety input devices.
After removing the fault, turn both safety
input A channels 1 and 2 to the OFF state.
Check the wiring from safety input devices
to the G9SX-GS@. Or check the input
sequence of safety input devices.
After removing the fault, turn both safety
input B channels 1 and 2 to the OFF state.
Check points and measures to take
Replace the G9SX-EX@.
Replace the G9SX-EX@.
