Description
Heat sink (includes replacement thermal material)
Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the tablet.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4. Remove the display panel assembly (see
the following components:
a. Bottom bezel (see

Remove the heat sink:
1. Release the grounding tape (1) that secures the heat sink to the system board.
2. Remove the six Phillips PM2.0×2.8 screws (2) that secure the heat sink to the system board.
3. Slide the heat sink (3) forward and then up and remove it.
