e. Turn the heat-sink-and-fan assembly upside down. Release two retaining clips
microprocessor retainer and then release the other two retaining clips
retainer 3 with the microprocessor from the heat-sink-and-fan assembly.

Note: Set aside the microprocessor retainer with the microprocessor. Ensure that the thermal
grease on the bottom of the microprocessor does not get in contact with anything.
5. To install a heat-sink-and-fan assembly on the system board, do the following:
a. If necessary, apply appropriate amount of thermal grease to the bottom of the heat-sink-and-fan
assembly as shown.
