Authentication with Card Reader

The new series are the first models (OEM Kyocera) to offer the possibility to access their
functionality through authentication via USB card reader (ELATEC).
The authentication through card is available as an embedded feature that can be
activated with a suitable kit that is bundled with the optional card reader.
A comprehensive number of card reader models are available (please refer to your price
book), for compatibility to the most commonly used card standards:
Mifare
HID Prox
iClass
Legic
Multi ISO
Multi 125
Indytag
This means that existing Company access control cards can be used to access the MFP as
well. The authentication via card reader offers several advantages in terms of security,
cost control, accounting.
A snap-in holder is also available to fix the card reader to the MFP body.
