The remote is not allowed to send data when the local end is doing that.
Examples
# Reverse the RTS signal.

timer hold

Use timer hold to set the polling interval, the interval at which the interface sends keepalive packets.
Use undo timer hold to restore the default.
Syntax
timer hold seconds
undo timer hold
Default
The polling interval is 10 seconds.

Parameters
seconds: Interval at which an interface sends keepalive packets, in the range of 0 to 32767 seconds.
Examples
# Set the polling interval to 20 seconds for interface serial 2/0.

[Sysname] interface serial 2/0
[Sysname-Serial2/0] timer hold 20
