Adjusting Values with the Rotary Knob

To adjust values in the Output Display using the rotary knob:
1. Turn the rotary knob. A cursor appears in the output display under the lowest digit
2. To move the cursor between the voltage and frequency fields, press .
3. Use the  and  keys to move the cursor to the digit you want to change.
4. Turn the rotary knob to change the value.
5. Press  to remove the cursor from the Output Display and save the new value
If you attempt to use the rotary knob to adjust a value to an amount that is
invalid for the function you are using, or is outside the value's range limit,
the value will not change and the 5080A will beep. If you need to reach a
different range of values, turn the knob quickly to jump to the new range.
Using the  and 
The  and  keys cause the current value of the signal to jump to a pre-determined
cardinal value, whose amount is determined by the current function. These keys are
described in more detail under the descriptions for each function.

Resetting the Oscilloscope Option

You can reset all parameters in the 5080A to their default settings at any time during
front panel operations by pressing the  key on the front panel.
After resetting the 5080A, press  to return to the Oscilloscope Calibration Option (the
Volt menu appears). Press  to reconnect the signal output.

When you use the rotary knob in either Volt mode or Marker mode, the Control
Display shows the new value's percentage change from the reference value. This is
useful for determining the percentage of error on the oscilloscope. You can set the
