Step
1. Replace the BootWare
image in the Normal area of
BootWare.
2. Reboot the device or the
entire IRF fabric.

Execute display commands in any view.
Task
Display current software images and startup
software images (in standalone mode).

Command
In standalone mode:

Use the BootWare image in the
Backup area of BootWare for a
replacement:
bootrom restore slot
slot-number-list

Use the BootWare image in a
storage medium for a
replacement:
bootrom update file file-url slot
slot-number-list
In IRF mode:

Use the BootWare image in the
Backup area of BootWare for a
replacement:
bootrom restore chassis
chassis-number slot

Use the BootWare image in a
storage medium for a
replacement:
bootrom update file file-url

Remarks
Use one of the commands,
depending on the location of the
backup BootWare image and the
device operating mode.
At startup, the system runs the new
BootWare image to complete the
restoration or downgrade.
