Taking the device into operation

Prerequisites for taking the
device into operation
Start taking-into-operation
procedure
Select language
Enter password
Enter Terminal ID
Select RDT module

Before you can conduct any transactions with the device,
you need to take the device into operation.
The prerequisites for the taking into operation are:
• The telephone cable (ISND or analogue telephone) /
network cable (LAN) is plugged in.
• A valid Terminal ID is available.

You can get the Terminal ID (TID) from your service
provider. The Terminal ID (TID) is an 8-digit number.
Connect the mains lead with the socket.

As soon as the device is supplied with power for the first
time, the taking-into-operation procedure will start.
Select the language.
Enter the merchant password.

The basic setting of the password is 000000.
Confirm the entry.
Enter the Terminal ID (TID).
Confirm the entry.
Enter the Terminal ID again (TID).
Confirm the entry.
Select RDT module.
The further procedure of the taking-into-operation is

dependent on the RDT module (LAN / ISDN / Modem):
