Meaning
The fuser unit is
overheating.
Remove fuse unit.
Temp adj pot.
meter on fuser board at
fully clockwise
position?
Thermistor fit tightly?
Replace KP-544. Replace
the switching regulator.
Check or replace S02069
cable KP-544 and the
switching regulator.
Replace fuser.
Suggested causes
• Defective photo-coupler (low
voltage) for heaters
• Defective engine gate array U2
• Defective heater control circuit
(engine board) or heater tempera-
ture detector
