The following characters may appear in strings entered in ruledefs, APNs, license keys and other
configuration/display parameters:
• < > (arrow brackets) [less than or greater than]
• * (asterisk) [wildcard]
• : (colon)
• $ (dollar sign) [wildcard]
• . (dot)
• = (equals sign)
• !; (exclamation point)
• % (percent)
• / (slash – forward)
• | (vertical bar)
The following characters may be used to delimit the domain from the user name for global AAA functions:
• @ (at sign)
• - (dash or hyphen)
• # (hash or pound sign)
• % [percent]
• \ (slash – backward) [must be entered as double slash "\\"]
• / (slash – forward)

Quoted Strings

If descriptive text requires the use of spaces between words, the string must be entered within double quotation
marks (" "). For example:
