Time Switch
The MP10/11 boards use 256 x 256 channel time switch. Each slot has two 32-channel.
Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD)
The CPLD uses CPLD by Lattice Inc. The CPLD constructs most logics for the MP10/11
boards and the logics can be changed by an outside PC through the JTAG bus.
Daughter Board (Optional)
Three types of option boards(4SWM, 4DLM and Modem) can be mounted on the MP10/11
boards and each option board is arranged in the specified position..
LAN Interface
The MP10/11 boards can connected to LAN with no additional LAN board. 10/100 PHY
MAC is built in CPU and the maximum access speed is 100 Mbps. Once the system is
connected to LAN, the speed is detected automatically and LAN is operated.
Universal Asynchronous Receiver & Transmitter (UART)
The UART is an element that enables asynchronized serial communication and is used as
the system I/O port(SMDR or PCMMC). The UART connects to outside via the RJ-45
connector in front of the cabinet and the speed is 115.2 kbps.
EEPROM
The EEPROM is a device that stores the MAC address of the MC 10 board and uses a serial
EEPROM.

2.4.2 MP11 Board

The MP11 board is similar with the MP 10 board and uses the same PCB as that of the MP
10 board. The MP11 board supports most functions of the MP 10 board and additionally
mounts the Router function. The differences from the MP10 board are to support

Besides, the MP11 board shares the same circuit/PCB with the MP10 board.
