Use the yellow lever A marked with the yellow symbol B on

the left hand side to angle the backrest.
2.
Press upwards while you angle the backrest to the desired
position.
3.
Release the lever.

4.2.4 Tilting seat and backrest

The whole seat unit including the backrest can be tilted.
The tilt functions cannot be combined with each other.
WARNING!
Risk of fatal injury
Increased blood pressure against the upper part of the
body.
– All combinations of settings (like opened knee angle
+ full tilt and recline) where the lower extremity's
are positioned higher than the heart, have to be
evaluated from a medical point of view. The position
can be contra indicated for users who are sensitive for
increased blood pressure in the upper part of the body.
WARNING!
Risk of choking/breathing problems
The user might choke from eating or drinking when
seated in a tilted/reclined position
– The user must be seated in a raised position before
eating or drinking
WARNING!
Risk of injury
User may slide out of the wheelchair in a tilted/reclined
position
– Never leave the user at a flat of negative tilt angle
without supervision. Use the pelvic belt for positioning.
CAUTION!
Risk of trapping fingers
– Be careful when adjusting the angle of the backrest so
that the assistant or user do not trap fingers between
the backrest and the armrest.
Risk of damage to the wheelchair
For some configurations with low seat height, the
possible tilt/recline angle is limited by the seat frame and
the rear wheel attachment.
– To ensure that no parts are damaged, the wheelchair
is equipped with reduction bushings.
– Be careful when tilting the seat unit or reclining the
backrest if the reduction bushings are removed.

Carer-operated tilt adjustment

Use the green lever A with the green symbol B on the right

hand side to tilt the seat unit (seat and backrest).
2.
Press upwards while you tilt the seat unit to the desired position.
3.
Release the lever.
User operated tilt
The user operated tilt is available with both a fixed armrest
and with detachable armrests. The user operated tilt is only
available for Dahlia 30.
WARNING!
Pressure sores and breathing difficulties
The user might not be capable to return to a neutral
position on his own
– The user operated tilt must be assessed by an
authorized professional.
WARNING!
Risk of pinching
There is a risk of getting pinched between the side rest
and the upper part of the angle adjustable legrest when
tilting the chair.
– There must be a distance of minimum 25 mm between
the side rest and the legrest when the chair is tilted.
Adjust the depth of the side rest or the height of the
armrest to avoid the risk of pinching.
CAUTION!
Difficulties to raise the backrest
– Do not tilt the wheelchair more than 10° when using
the user operated tilt. Otherwise you might have
difficulties to return to a neutral position.
