To improve the drive power, the exhaust system was
also redesigned in addition to the engine.
The pipe lengths of the manifolds have been precisely
fine-tuned and the gas exchange processes have been
improved to provide significantly greater power and
torque. The large pipe cross-sections of the newly
developed twin-pipe exhaust system have the effect of
reducing the exhaust back pressure. Two relatively
small center mufflers on the underfloor and a large-
displacement transverse rear muffler at the rear end
help to ensure optimal load distribution.
