The combination of high-tech, vehicle dynamics and
unique design make the new SLS AMG the unmistak-

cars.
The development of the SLS AMG was not only about
creating a bridge between the past and present, it was
mainly about creating an uncompromising sports car
design at the limits of what is technically feasible.
The focus of the engineers was on an extremely light-
weight design, low center of gravity and excellent
performance. With a bodyshell weighing just 241 kg, a
front-mid engine design combined with a rear wheel
drive transaxle, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed
sport transmission and a new AMG 6.3 liter V8 gaso-
line engine (M 159), Mercedes-Benz has provided an
impressive demonstration of its expertise in super
sports car manufacturing.
