Front lights
At the front end, the SLS AMG impresses with a very
powerful appearance. The vertical headlamps, which
are positioned very close to the outside edges of the
vehicle, give the vehicle a dominant presence as well
as further emphasizing the vehicle's sporty lines.
The vehicle is equipped with hybrid headlamps which
use LED technology for all functions except the bi-
xenon lamps. The daytime running light is integrated
in the main headlamp for the first time on this model
series.

The lamp units are made up of the following compo-
nents:
• Turn signal light
• Xenon bulb with integrated ignition module
• Parking light, standing light and daytime running
light
• Xenon light power supply module
• Headlamp cleaning system (HCS)
On USA version vehicles (code 494), there is a side
marker lamp in both the left and right front bumper.
