To verify a good connection to the iServer, from a DOS prompt on your computer

type "ping 192.168.1.200" and press Enter.

You should get a reply as shown in Figure 4.7.

If you don't receive a reply it means that you do not have a network connection

between your PC and the iServer.

Check your IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address.

C:\>ping 192.168.1.200

Pinging 192.168.1.200 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 192.168.1.200: bytes=32 time=15ms TTL=64

Reply from 192.168.1.200: bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=64

Pinging statistics for 192.168.1.200:

Packets: Sent=4, Received=4, Lost=0 (0% loss)

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Minimum=8ms, Maximum=15ms, Average=9ms
