You receive 2 ignition keys.
Please consult the information on
the electronic immobiliser (EWS)
( 39) if a key is lost or mislaid.
Ignition switch, fuel filler cap lock
and seat lock are all operated
with the same key.
with Sport cases

If you wish you can arrange to
have the cases and the topcase
fitted with locks that can be
opened with this key as well.
Consult a specialist workshop,
preferably an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
Lock the handlebars
Turn the handlebars all the way
to left.

Turn the key to position 1,
while moving the handlebars
slightly.
Handlebars are locked.
Key can be removed.

Ignition

Switching on ignition
Insert the key into the ignition
switch and turn to position 1.
Side lights and all function cir-
cuits are switched on.
