You receive 2 ignition keys.
If a key is lost or mislaid, consult
the notes on the electronic im-
mobiliser (EWS) (
Ignition switch, fuel filler cap lock
and seat lock are all operated
with the same key.

have the cases and the topcase
fitted with locks that can be
opened with this key as well.
Consult a specialist workshop,
preferably an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
Lock the handlebars
Turn the handlebars all the way
to left.

Turn the key to position 1
while moving the handlebars
slightly.
Ignition, lights and all function
circuits switched off.
Steering lock secured.
Key can be removed.
